  • Independence Day
  • Fall In-service
  • Spring In-service

In the days before or after major holidays families often travel or spend time together. Please let us know if your child will not be in attendance on the days that precede or proceed the holiday. This will allow us to staff the center accordingly.

School Closings:

If your child’s school will be closed due to in-service days, school vacations, etc. please notify us two weeks in advance. We will make every  attempt to adjust staffing to accommodate your needs.

Arrival from School or Other Programs:

If your child has not arrived as scheduled, our staff will contact you to confirm that you are aware of their absence and to confirm that your child is safe. We will contact all numbers listed on the emergency forms until we are assured that your child is safe.

Absences, Sickness, and Late Arrivals:

When your child is not here we miss them. *Please take the time to notify the center if your child will be absent or late so that we can adequately adjust our staff. Notifying us that your child is sick will help us to prepare for and take steps to avoid the spread of germs. If your child has not arrived as scheduled, our staff will contact you to confirm that you are aware of their absence and to confirm that your child is safe. It is important to let us know if your child will not be here. Their safety is our main concern.

Inclement Weather:

We want to assure you that if our staff can make it to the center we will be open despite inclement weather. In the event that we have to delay or close you will be notified as soon as possible via social media. Please check WHIO school closings or call the center to get more information.

Late Pickup Fee:

Our center hours are 6:30am to 6:00pm. Our teachers work hard throughout the day and enjoy going home to their families. If you know that you are going to be late picking up your child, please call the center at 937-951-2600, so that we can provide after hour care. A fee will be charged as follows: If your child is not picked up by 6:00pm, there will be a Late Fee of $1.00 per minute (per child) for the first 15 minutes. After 6:15pm, there is a flat rate of $30.00 per hour. This fee is not pro-rated and must be paid by cash only on the following day; otherwise it will be added to your child’s tuition account.

Keeping our center clean and germ free is a full-time job!  The staff at Pine Hill has approached our cleaning protocols with vigor and energy!!
We disinfect our classrooms daily. In fact we are cleaning all day-- after spills, in between uses in our learning centers and after all meals and activities.  Ask any teacher and they will tell you that cleaning is the number one priority for a clean and safe environment.

Our second line of defense is to be aware of every person who enters our doors. We check and respond to elevated temperatures and watch for other signs of illness.  Our goal is to keep every child and adult healthy while providing an engaging school experience.  Our parents are encouraged to keep sick children home to ensure that everyone remains healthy and strong.  It is so much easier to learn when we feel our best!  Together we can all minimize the risk of illness. by being careful and diligent.  Take Care!

It's a message worth repeating- hand washing is by far the best way to keep kids from getting sick and prevent the spread of germs.   When kids come into contact with germs, they can become infected just by touching their eyes, nose, or mouth.  And once they're infected, it's usually just a matter of time before the whole family comes down with the same illness.  Good hand washing is the first line of defense  against the spread of many illnesses-- from the common cold to more serious infections, such as meningitis, bronchiolitis, the flu, Hepatitis A, many types of diarrhea as well as the  Corona Virus.
Don't underestimate the power of hand washing!  The time you spend at the sink could save you trips to the doctor's office.  Encourage your child to wash their hands before eating, after using the bathroom, after touching animals, before and after visiting friends or relatives, after coughing, sneezing or blowing their nose and after being outside.  It is a step worth taking.  Be safe!
