Security
Emergency Evacuation:
In any situation where the center or the area around it becomes unsafe, all children will be evacuated to the emergency location posted in each classroom. In the event that the center must evacuate, the staff will contact the primary caregiver/ parent. If you cannot be reached, the staff will contact the emergency contact listed in your child’s file.
All parents must grant consent for the center to transport their child in the event of an unforeseen emergency. If consent is not granted, the student will be denied admittance.
Safety:
Your child’s safety is the most important thing to us. Our center conducts fire, tornado, and lockdown drills each month to ensure each child and staff member is prepared for any emergency. The center is equipped with the following:
- Fire and smoke detectors
- Carbon monoxide detectors
- Fire extinguishers
- Lock on the front entrance
Photos, Videos and Social Media:
We want to protect each family’s privacy at our center. You are welcome to take videos or photos of your child during school but we ask that you be considerate when posting videos or photos that contain other children. Our center would love to showcase your child on our social media pages but we respect your privacy. At the time of enrollment you will be asked to sign a “Permission to Photograph” statement where you may decide to allow the center to post your child’s picture anywhere or only in the center.
Background Checks:
For the safety of your child, any person who interacts with them at our center must first have a completed background check.
Entering the Building:
Only authorized persons are allowed in the center. Please ring the bell for entry and be prepared to show proper identification.
Signing In and Out:
Your child must be signed in and out everyday and escorted to and from their classroom. For the safety of all children they cannot be unsupervised in the building.

We disinfect our classrooms daily. In fact we are cleaning all day-- after spills, in between uses in our learning centers and after all meals and activities. Ask any teacher and they will tell you that cleaning is the number one priority for a clean and safe environment.
Our second line of defense is to be aware of every person who enters our doors. We check and respond to elevated temperatures and watch for other signs of illness. Our goal is to keep every child and adult healthy while providing an engaging school experience. Our parents are encouraged to keep sick children home to ensure that everyone remains healthy and strong. It is so much easier to learn when we feel our best! Together we can all minimize the risk of illness. by being careful and diligent. Take Care!

Don't underestimate the power of hand washing! The time you spend at the sink could save you trips to the doctor's office. Encourage your child to wash their hands before eating, after using the bathroom, after touching animals, before and after visiting friends or relatives, after coughing, sneezing or blowing their nose and after being outside. It is a step worth taking. Be safe!
